Young and in love | Elizabeth’s true love story

Young love. That’s how most would describe Jared and Elizabeth’s relationship. At only twenty years old, she knew that she wanted to get married.

Some would argue that they were too young. They had their whole life ahead of them. But that was exactly the point. They had their whole life ahead of them. And they knew they wanted to spend it together.

Love doesn’t have to be complicated. When you pursue God first, He will be the center of your life and the center of your relationship.

Describe your husband in three words.

Passionate. Outgoing. Driven.

How did you and your husband meet?

We met at Access at Resurrection Life church.

Who was interested first?

Jared followed me and sat across the aisle, but I introduced myself during the church greeting

What made you realize Jared was “marriage material”?

He strives to be a better person. It is very important to grow as individuals and learn from your mistakes because everyone makes them.

So what’s your best advice for those pursuing sexual purity?

Don’t be afraid to ask questions to understand what purity really means, besides just waiting until marriage to have sex.

How do you keep God the focus of your relationship?

We make sure that God is the focus of each of our lives. We encourage each other to pursue God, which in turn, makes God the center of our relationship.
