Abide: A discipleship event by teen girls for teen girls
In a culture that constantly tells girls to define themselves by appearance, achievement, popularity, or comparison, Jesus offers a better invitation:
“Abide in me.” — John 15:4
Abide is a Saturday morning brunch designed by teen girls for teen girls to discover who they are because of Whose they are. Through worship, biblical teaching, creative workshops, and authentic community, we’ll explore what it means to remain rooted in Christ and become the young women God is creating us to be.

Our Across My Heart Apprentices have been planning this event for months! From theming to activities to devotions, this entire morning was planned for teen girls by teen girls. Young women will leave with a clear sense of direction and purpose, passionately pursing the One Who calls them His!
Our Heart
Across My Heart exists to help young women passionately pursue the heart of God!
We believe every person bears God’s image and that our bodies, minds, relationships, and stories all matter to Him. As we learn to abide in Christ, we begin to see ourselves through His eyes. Instead of asking, “Who does the world say I am?” we learn to ask, “Who does God say I am?”
Our hope is that every girl leaves knowing she is loved by God and called to live with courage, compassion, and conviction!
Abide has been planned by our Across My Heart Apprentices, a group of high school and college-aged young women who have been learning and serving alongside the Across My Heart team throughout the year.
As part of the apprenticeship, they’ve helped dream, plan, and prepare every part of this event while growing as Christian leaders. We’re excited to see them use their gifts to serve the next generation of girls.

Young women can continue growing through the resources of Across My Heart, including:
- The Yada Yada Podcast — honest conversations with Amber & Ashley, the Across My Heart founders, about faith, purity, relationships, and following Jesus in everyday life.
- Women of Church History (coming soon) — a devotional journey introducing readers to faithful women whose lives point us to Christ and remind us that God has always worked through ordinary women with extraordinary faith.
Location
For this Abide event, we will be gathering in an old church building in downtown GR! Imagine worshipping Jesus in old church pews… being surrounded by beautiful stained glass windows! It’s a space that evokes the timeless truths of abiding with Christ!
