Every mom will tell you that birth is an incredibly emotional experience, divinely ordained to usher new life into this world. As a mother, your body is the very vessel that God uses to create something beautiful. You get to participate with God in the creation of life. There are few things more humbling and awe-inspiring. And yet, for me, death has never felt as threatening as the moments surrounding birth. Sure. It’s easy to be cynical about the New Year. When it comes to New Year’s Resolutions, sometimes they are nothing more than an ill-attempt at self-improvement, a merely human effort to do better.

Proverbs 16:9 says, “In their hearts humans plan their course, but the LORD establishes their steps.” Seek God’s direction and open your mind to His blessings.
God created sexuality. It was His idea. His design. But when we look at the cultural climate, it’s hard to see how we can reclaim its sacredness for ourselves, our daughters, and the next generation of young women.
